Harmonica Bear
Hey - Everyhing tunred out pretty good. The food was awesome. The turn-out was so-so. We figured we served around 180 - 200 people (we had food for another 100). We raised a little money for the Breast Cancer folks, so all went well. I will try and get some pics posted tomorrow. 2x4
Hey Bear, Thanks for the great pics. As you can see I am one of the cooks in his pictures. This function is a great opportunity to try some wild game for people who are not used to eating wild game. I would like to thank Cheffy for a great antelope recipie..(not listed above). We always like to try something new that no one has ever tried before. As a former VP and also President (Bear was my VP)I know the amount of work that it takes to put on a function like this. We have our game feed every second Sunday of March, every year. All of our proceeds go to a charity function such as the Breast Cancer Foundation, The Lupus Foundation, Spinal Chord Foundation, local Veterans Association, Hunt of a Lifetime...etc. If you are interested in tasting some really good food and have some proceeds go to a good cause, please mark it on your calendars for next year. We would love to have more people try our delicious food and also help out charity. Thanks
Stiff
I was within a breath of attending this event and my day just grew into too many things and something had to give. In hindsight and having seen the pics, I really regret not having made it. I hope you guys do this again next year.

Harmonica Bear
The Ham Lake Sporstmans Club is one of the last small trap ranges in the metro. It is a pretty cool event if you want to try a bunch different wild game recipes. Price is right as well. A donation is all thats needed for more food then you can possibly eat. tomfromblaine
I looking forward to coming I've wanted to attend since the 07 event but life just didn't let me, so far I have my buddys family and my daughter and I, hopefully we can join in on the shooting fun, how many boxes of shells would a guy need? Harmonica Bear
I don't have all the shooting details. But I beleive it will be meat shoot games. Which usually consist of rounds of 5 shots from 5 different stations against 5 different shooters. Who gets the most, gets a meat prize (or maybe $ if we run out). Also Annie Oakley's, Backups etc. We only have two trap houses and I am not sure if the 2nd house wll be open to shoot regular trap. I hope that helps. Look forward to it!*****Oh - and due to political pressure we can ONLY SHOOT STEEL SHOT****** We do have shells there to purchase if needed, which I beleive are not over-priced. tomfromblaine
Well Fellow FM'rs if you didn't know what to do with your selves yesterday and you didn't show up you sure missed out on a great time. I met up with Harmonica Bear, Dirty Biker, and Ice Shack Baby, Mark and the rest of the crew and they were cooking food like crazy, and they started the day before, and of course there was everything from Antelope to Venision and some along with Pheasant stew and all of it was excellent. I don't think you will ever meet a nicer bunch of people. Getting a chance to do some shooting was a blast, my buddies and I had alot of fun with that, turned out a younger fella kicked every bodys rear end and I saw him getting his prizes out of the meat freezer when I left. Hopefully next year this event can be listed in FM'rs get together section. Tom PS Harmonica bear whats your email I would like a couple of those receipes
