taking a family vacation to Tablerock lake in April just wondering if I could get some advice on where and how to fish this lake Thanks

I am bringing my family down there the first week of June. How is the fishing this time of year? Is it worth pulling the boat 9 hrs? We will be staying at a resort right on Table Rock Lake with docks at our disposal. We would probably be targeting Crappies and Bass. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

The first week of June can get pretty darn warm down here at times. Last year that week brought highs anywhere from 75 to 90 degrees. The fish may be better caught early and later in the day into the night, hard to tell. A lot of resorts don't let their rental boats out after dark, check their policy if you rent. I guess it all depends on how hard core the family is about fishing as to whether or not to bring the boat.

A good place to check weather history is the Trip Planner section of Weather Underground. Do a search on it.

I'll be up on Lake Vermilion that same week. Good thing we'll be keeping the world in balance!

LOL...Thanks for the info vermilionfox. I would rather be going north myself. I am leaning toward taking the car instead of the truck for gas mileage. We can always fish from the dock when we have time.

Sounds like a good plan. A lot of resorts plant Christmas trees and the likes around their docks to attract crappies for their guests. They'll also attract sunnies, bass and cats! Have a good trip!
