RED SPOTS ON WALLEYE BELLIES ?????

I have this on the Ice Fishing Forum also. I have been catching some of the larger females (22-26")from deep water 30-37' that have these red spots on the bellies. The smaller fish caught in this area do not have them. Does anyone know what this is??

Perhaps it could be dermal sercoma.

I checked the DNR link. The red spots are only on their bellies. There are no spots on their sides.
