lighting question

What would use more battery. A flourescent lite with 2 8 watt bulbs in it or one of the regular lites with one of those bulbs similare to a tail lite bulb. not sure how many watts one of those are.

If it is a incandescent lantern with a flashlight type bulb, that definately would use more power than a couple of 8 watt bulbs.

it is the type of bulb you would find in a tail lite. many campers and fish houses have them.

the flouescent uses 1.2 amps. is that less than what the other style lite would use??

The 12volt auto bulb will use about 13 watts with a fully charged battery and draw just around 1 amp. Most auto bulbs are about 1.4 ohms.

Yes, but the two of them will also produce far more usable light. You will get about 5 times the lumens per watt.

Incadescent is around 10 or so lumen per watt

Fluorescent lamps range from 50 to 60

New LED's are over 100 per watt
