RJ
Getting excited. Hope to try my new Trap on New Years Day. My Spartans play today. I'll listen to the "other" Michigan team tommorrow. Would my sled pull easier if I wax it? WHat should I use? Thinking about X-Country Ski wax. Why not Turtle Wax car wax? Any suggestions?
Iceboy
x-c ski wax would be bad - unless this type of wax is melted into the correct type of ski base, it makes things much more difficult. The only thing I have heard about guys using is Armor-All. I have tried it and didn't notice too much difference. I'd say the best tip is to keep it off the gravel and pavement - if you only let the base touch snow it will stay pretty smooth for a long time. Valv
Jacobm, no kidding. I found out myself too, if I have a little wind and I have to go somehow on the direction, I open shack and have wind push it with me. It works really well....just wait, and if you guys see a black portable flying uncontrolled on southern MN lakes.....it's me.....move over ATVs... here comes Val.... Guest
I think I've had mine up to 12 or 14 mph without wax. Might get a couple more mph with wax.Happy New Year and good sailing, er fishing.

Guest
It should be plenty slippery without waxing. You will find out for sure when you take it out in a 15-20mph wind. Happy Sailing. HaHa
Guest
RJ Dude, just try standing in it after you wax it. I think you will change your mind rather quickly!
RJ
OK OK, no wax. Sounds like a tie down might be a good buy. The wife never liked sailing. We've always had a power boat.Good fishing.
Guest
I know Fish Trap. He doesn't like his bottom waxed. ------------------Kevin Neve's Devils Lake Guide Servicefishingminnesota.com/kevin-neve-guiding/e-mail: [email protected]Phone: 701-473-5411 or 701-351-4989Minnewaukan ND [This message has been edited by kevin neve (edited 01-08-2002).]
