Lakemaster versus Navionics

Todd_G

Question

I fish in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In Minnesota I fish Rainy Lake and LOW. Does the Lakemaster chip for MN have Rainy Lake and part of LOW? I know there is a separate LOW chip for Lakemaster, but is this my only option. I would also like the chip I purchase to have good detail of the roads. It sound like the Lakemaster chip is better for roads, but I would like your opinion. I think my dilemma is that the Lakemaster chip does not have all of the lakes I fish and the Navionics chip is not as good with road detail. Your opinions are appreciated! Thanks!

Don't know about Rainy (look at their site) but I do know that LOTW is not on the MN LM chip, you need the LOTW LM chip.

Okay, if you want my opinion, you should get the chip for the lake contours and not the road detail (unless there's some reason you really need the road detail). Good luck.
