[Lake Trout]

My old, and I mean old, Eagle GPS just bit the dust. I used the Search feature on the forums and my head is dizzy with all the info I found. Clear it up for me and give me a push. Is the Lowrance iFinder H2O THE unit to get? Color or greyscale? It takes a map chip like Lake Master, correct?

H2O and C are both awsome units. Both will take lakemaster and navonics chips and both can use mapcreate software. You cant go wrong with either one of these units.

My old Lowrance bit the dust a couple of years ago so I got the H2O. The color wasn't out yet. I really like it. I can't tell you anything about the color, but I got the 07 chip for Christmas and I can't imagine fishing without it. Used it on Mille Lacs a few weeks ago and found it to be very accurate. As far as visibility, you would have to ask someone who has used both. I use it in the boat plugged in to the 12 volt with the light on, and it's fine.
