I need some info for finding mattresses for the shack. After checking on 4" medium density foam prices I am about ready to just buy a $30 air mattress.

Do you have a g/f or wife? And do the weekends get long?

If so, I would go with the air-mattress.

Yeah, the wife and kids will be out every other weekend or so! I priced a approx. 30" x 75" coleman air mattress at Walmart for $30.

How much is 4" medium density foam? Mines worn out and I'm thinking of replacing it.

This will make no sense btu here goes. Medium density foam I priced at about $70 for a 39" X75" however, I can get the same foam in a mattress from unclaimed freight in Aitkin for $55...go figure!

lol, well, I would not fret at the $30 mattress from Wal-Mart, sounds pretty good to me.

I use 4" foam mattresses that came out of the crew bunks on a 747 (the airlines replace them frequently and friends who work at the airline can get the used ones for free). They are nicely encased in a heavy nylon covering. If you're interested let me know how many you want and I'll put word in with my sources to grab some as they come available. I check the posts on this board almost daily, so just post a message here if you want to go this route.
