169Sportsman
I have a picture at the shop of a local gentleman with a 60 pound flathead. He weighed it on a scale borrowed from here that I believe is pretty accurate. It was around 48" long and had a 36" girth. It was a true pig!!! And it is still swimming! abens1078
That picture would weigh five pounds and slow the whole internet down. What was the bait, a whole chicken? you could put that fish in your trunk in the winter to help with traction! If I wanted to catch one of those, who is a good guide that could give me a good chance?catch and release of course on something that big. DARK30
Here it is. I stole the pic from Tom up at the bait store...Looks like a 60 to me. The paper is calling it a 65 because it wouldn't stay still while being weighed. The guys name is Josh from Jordan and is known for using frogs. ------------------cast,cast,cast,cast...... Ed Carlson
That be a beast! Dark I need to find you yet this fall and do some flatheads, and maybe a few walleye. I rigged up my new Kitty van to be cat-trip-friendly. I am eager to do even more shore angling this fall and warm the boots on a good bank fire. Maybe eat a hunk-a-cow or two.....too. Papa eat Cow Now! This was one big flathead pic too many...I need to road trip East now for sure. ------------------Backwater Guiding"ED on the RED"701-893-9107 [email protected]
