Looking Good Finally

We might be ice fishing by weekend. This year is worse then last. Finally looking good!!! I'm so ready like everyone else. Tired of looking at my tackle and need to get out and fish.

I finally had a little bit too tide me over til the ice is good and safe. I spent all weekend at Mille Lacs and true to its history coldfronts made the lake terribly difficult to fish. Ended up getting some but it was hard going and we had to put in our time and effort. Hopefully won't have to go quite that far pretty soon here.

Fished off the dock at Blackwell yesterday to check all my electronics. One of the batteries is bad. There was an inch of ice on the lake. It's a start. Maybe this weekend we will be on ice somewhere.

I hope to poke around Between Geneva and here a little bit tomorrow but am a little pessimistic. However there is a little bit of cold yet to come maybe we will get lucky and find something walkable.
