Vinyl siding on a 30 degree edge?

Deep_Sinker

Question

Ok, so I am helping a buddy side a shack he is building. He bought a 'snub' nose trailer and we are wondering how securely fasten the vinyl siding to the front edges. Considering this will get the brunt of the wind when being towed; what are our options? Should we bend a corner piece or use two J-channels butted up?

Your best bet would to get a preformed corner post. They are for a 90 degree corner, but can be pushed or pulled to go over or under 90. They are not expensive, and the wind will not get under or behind them like if you use a double "J". Even better than that would be to get rid of the vinyl altogether, and use steel siding. It is not that much more, but will hold up much better.
