Headlight Question

On one of my sleds the headlight will intermittently go dim. I have searched and searched and can't find a short. When the headlight goes dim, so do the dashlights. I have also noticed that the battery is dropping down to close to 10 volts. The sled is a 2001 Polaris Indy Touring 2up. Looking for possible suggestions and/or solutions. Thanks for any help.

sounds like your voltage regulator to me. Get it fixed or it will fry your handwarmers, thumbwarmers, GPS if you have one attached.

Hi Paul , gettin her ready for slab fest?? my cousin had same intermittant problem and it ended up to be his year old battery. at least it better be fixed thats the one I chose to chase you guys around on at the fest

Paul,

Take a look in your rear storage box with a flash light. Most of the time you can see the tail light wires inside the cubby. The mice also like to live in there and chew on those wires. I know because I had the same problem. I fix the chewed on and shorted wires and have had no problems.
