Stolen tackle, need help

On December 26, our shop was broken into on Springsteel Island near Warroad on Lake of the Woods. A Cabela's tackle box that holds 12-14 crankbait trays was taken containing 450-500 plugs. Many other items were also stolen including hunting clothing, an ice auger, vexilar and cordless drill. If anyone has any information that could lead to finding the guilty party, please let me know. Or contact the Roseau County Sheriff's Department.

This is terrible news to hear. Hopefully they catch the guilty party and your things will be returned. With all the people from all over that go through Springsteel hopefully they left a trace for authorities to find them...where ever they are.

I'll keep an ear out as well. Someone might spill the beans.

Thanks for the help, I think it's someone from the area who new what I had in the shop/garage. The worst of it is the tackle box that was full of cranks, some of the old color shad raps that you can't find anymore were in there as well. frown.gif

I had somebody break into my shed a few years back. They took most of my fishing equipment as well. After filing a police report I called Reeds in Walker. They replaced all of my gear at dealer cost for me. They do this for people to help with the money that you will loose from depreciation and deductible on your insurance.

Good Luck catching those thugs.

Not a bad thought. Maybe keep an eye out on hsolist...see if you recognize any of the Rapalas and who the seller is. Buy a couple and then see what the return address is from the package. Might be a good way to catch the bandit??? It's a long stretch but someone dumb enough to steal them in the first place might be too foolish to get caught.

I did talk to the insurance people and they said to make a list of everything and I do get by Reeds often so I will keep it in mind, it sure would be easier if these outlaws are caught, but I think I'll heve a better chance of catching a 32" eye. Thanks for all the help..
