Light's on Cats at night.

I didn't want to bogart a post, but I saw Dennis Steele mention that shining a light(white) on a cat at night makes them more difficult to land? Can anyone comment on this? I assume they get a bit unruly when the light hits 'em?

Is this only something to worry about when fishing from a boat?

SERIOUSLY! It was THIS big!

What Dennis is saying is that you don't want to hit the fish with a spot light or have lights shining out the back of the boat when trying to land one of these big fish. It really seems to irratate them and that last rush at the boat could mean a spit hook. Wiskers didn't believe me when came down last year with a couple of fog lights sticking out the back of his boat. Until he flipped on the lights as he as pulling in a 40lber and she went bezerk. If you have some interior lights or a head lamp you should have plenty of light to land the fish.

Yup...The last thing you want to do is pee off a big cat at the side of the boat. And the best way to do that is shine a light in his eyes!! They really do go nuts!!
I land by moonlight or if there is no moonlight then a red flash light is the next best thing.
