Marcum VS250

Does anyone know anything about these units? My daughter bought me one today and she said I have 30 days to return it if I don't like it as long as its not opened. The saleman told her he liked the Marcum better than the Aqua Vu Scout because it comes with a better battery (Like the new Scout II). He also told her it has a longer cable on it, 65ft vs 50ft on the Scout. If anyone has anything good or bad to say about this unit, I am all ears.

I got one too but have yet to use it. With all the problems they were having with Aqua View Scouts being returned with leaky cameras it was a no brainer for both Gander staff to recommend the MarCum. They had a big sale rebate deal on the Scouts too and only a couple were sold but they ran out of the MarCum cams that's proof right there that fishers will pay a little more to get piece of mind. I'll post more on my camera whenever we get ice...

I have used my VS350 a lot over the last 10 days, and have been very happy with the unit. I suggest you get the arm that goes over the hole and the steering clip, however.

Picture is very clear, though I am fishing waters with excellent clarity to begin with. Once the sun goes down, the picture washes out quite a bit.

Thanks for the reports. I have the tripod that goes over the hole instead of the arm. That should work too, shouldn't it? I hope to get out some this weekend with it, I'll post what I think of it.
