GottaGo
I recently upgraded my computer monitor from a 10 year old monitor to a nice flat screen. The problem now is that my monitor is nicer than my TV, but my computers CD rom does not play DVDs. Is there any way I can watch DVDs on my new monitor. Either adding something to my computer or hooking my DVD player directly to the monitor? Any help would be great.
HaywardBound
You may be able to add a DVD-ROM to your computer for around $26-36. Do you have a spare bay near your CD-ROM?There are pleny of people on this forum that can help you if you want to do it yourself.
Surface Tension
A CD drive won't recognize a DVD. You need to buy a DVD drive. You can get a DVD drive with capabilities to burn your own DVDs. Shop around, you can find them for at very reasonable prices. With the drive you'll also receive bundeled software to install that'll to view DVDs.
