Summer Marcum use?

I don't own a boat, but have a couple of friends who do. Do they make a portable type, suction type transducer holder like Vexilar does. Does anybody know if the Vex type holders will work with the Marcum. This is greatly going to affect which flasher I buy. Thanks Captain Happy

I bought the transducer for the trolling motor. Made a special mount for it because I didn't mount it on the trolling motor. It is awesome to use in the summer. Great thing is it's portable. I don't own a graph, just my ( I own more then one) Marcums.

I don't want to make a special mount, just give me a suction cup type holder, is easily portable, just pull off and leave. WHY DOESN'T MARCUM HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THIS ON THERE WEB SITE!

You will have to ask them. I think it cost me $15 or so. I like to tinker and make stuff. It's rewarding.

I use my LX-1 on the trolling motor in the summer. It's definitely better than any other flasher I have used on my boat. Why? Because I can see the darn thing in direct sunlight.

As far as the suction cup mount goes, I don't know if they do or not. You would probably need to buy a different transducer for summer use for either unit. A homemade suction cup is quite feasible with either manufacturers flasher and either the high speed or puck transducers.

I just used my iceducer, put a little water on the floor of the boat, and got a reading right thru the bottom of the boat.

I use my LX-3 year round, but have the trolling motor ducer. I had a hummingbird supersixty that had the suction cup ducer. I will try to find it, and if I have it, I will give it to you. it should work with any transducer, if it dosen't, I am a machinist, so I can make a bracket to mount it for a very low fee.
