Minnesueing Ice

I was out on the lake for about 10 mins today. Its got about 6" from shore out 50 yds. I am going out tomorrow to see if the fish will co-operate.

Went out today for a bit. There is anywhere from 4-7" of good clear hard ice. Problem with it all being clear is I think the fish spook too easy. Not a single fish to show for our efforts. But hey, we got out there.

The laugh for the day was when my frabil speedshack took off across the lake with my 4 year old inside, gustof wind took it and there it went with about 10 feet of Berkly XT solar green line and a teardrop jig tipped with a waxxie trailing behind it.... It became a gut buster when I heard him yell, "I need some help in here!"

Good to hear the lake has some decent ice still!!! Just got back from MN.. time to hit some WI water again...

Hannah and I fished in and around the Brainerd area and did pretty well on the panfish... Got a few bonus walleyes as well... Perch, 'gills, and crappies were in order for the two days that we fished and it was definately a good time!!
