travel with birds

So I need advice if anyone is willing. I have hunted SD several times but have always just left my birds at my brothers house. What is the best way to clean and transport birds back to MN on a 4-5 day hunting trip.

Any advice would be great

just clean them and leave one foot attached...by clean them I mean take off all the feathers/skin, the wings, the head, and the guts. You are allowed to bring back 15 of 'em if you are there for 5 days!

We do exactly what was stated above. Cut head, wings and 1 leg off. Skin, pull guts, was up and stick them in ziploc bags.
