12V Light bulbs

I am wondering what watt bulbs you guys run in your houses. What is the lowest wattage bulb you can get in a 12V? I am only going to be using them to light up a small permanant (5x8) Any suggestions?

Hou should consider going with some kind of a 12 volt LED. You will pay more for them, but the current draw is tiny compared to what an incandescent bulb(s) draw.

I agree. Just about everyone is jumping onto the LED bandwagon. You can find them to fit just about any application imagineable.

If you really want to know the wattage ratings for bulbs stop by the autoparts store. They will have a bulb application book. Usually in the back it will list all the bulbs by part number and give the specs including wattage.

How many LED lights would a guy need in order to see proficiently. I know that they are pretty bright, but there are times when Good Light is needed.(I mean tying 2lb mono on a small eye.) I normally have a head lamp with me, but I would like to eliminate the need if possible.

I have a three element assembly that works ok for the most part. For tying tiny stuff like that, I would want something bigger, 6-10 elements.
