Real Weeds,has anyone used them?

Yeah...I just did some reading and that's obviously the last thing I want to do. I'd rather use something I knew was safe and would last.

How far away from them do you fish? Just a couple feet?

I'm guessing for each S.O.S. you use you have to drill a hole correct? So if you drop down 5 S.O.S.'s you have to drill 5 holes. Is that right?

RB- It really depends on water clarity and the type fish you are going after. Once you hook a crappie or bluegill they dont go to far off to the side.. So fishing 3-4 feet from your weeds is plenty distance, if fishing walleye and pike you may want to fish a few extra feet away.

Doop- yep.. a seperate hold for each SOS... and like I said.. play around with the shapes.. its way too much fun!

At the ice show ... they were selling the weeds for $10 a piece. I consider that to be fairly reasonable and I doubt you could produce your own for much less. They are mass producing the gear and are offering a reasonable price. Keep it simple ... buy theirs ... and don't worry about yours breaking.
