These units are well worth the money IMHO. Just make sure you get one that meets your needs and quality enough to take high number of recharges without toasting your battery.

I have a Jump-N-Carry JNC660 Jump Starter.

Its a 1700 Peak Amp 12 Volt Jump Starter which is more on the heavy duty/pro side. Common units you see are like 450 amp direct. I have a smaller Vector as well which are nice but the Jump-N-CARRY has twice the power.

I use it for jump starts and everything and anything needed in my fish house needs. I have not come close to getting this thing past 60% discharge and I use it alot to top off my deep cells and or run other 12V accessories off it.

I think I paid like $125 for it and the model under it was like $95 (1100 amp)
