battery life on aqua vu scout

is it true that the life of the battery is only 4 hours can you buy one thats longer life than that?

The base Scout comes with a 4 amp battery because it is in the center of the cable spool. The power cable has spade connectors, and can easily be attached to any gel 12 volt battery. I set the new battery behind the camera and the wires reach easily. I carry a couple of 7 amp to power LED lights and as a backup for the camera.

You would be really stretching it to get a good four hours of continuous the base 4 amp battery.

whats the plug they give you for a 12v hookup? its only like 4 foot long streched out. does this charge the battery, or is it for running the unit? if its for running the unit, why is it only that long?

No it is not for chargeing the battery, if fact Aqua Vu says you must unplug the battery to run off the cord. If you are fishing out of your truck door it might come in handy.

I have the aqua view scout and mine seems to run at least 5 to 6 hours if not more of continueous use.

Hi People, been a whilen since I've been here.

I have a scout also and the first year I used it I ran it for 7.5 hours cont. and had no problems with the bat. .

I just keep it charged after use and check the charge b-4 use.
