Ice Conditions

Anyone have any ice conditions to share. I'd like to hear about Ashtabula if possible or any other lakes around here.

I havn't been out yet. But I wouldn't chance it yet. I myself am going WAY north this weekend. But I would guess they aren't ready yet. Maybe next weekend though. If you decide to go be careful please.

I'm not that daring to venture out yet not knowing ice conditions. I had a friend from work that was out near Valley City on some preserve fishing Wednesday. Was on 3 inches of ice cracking all over. I'm not that Crazy.

I'm going to the ice show Saturday and let the ice thicken up a bit.

Any reports of ice on Ashtabula or area lakes? How thick is it getting over there?

7 inches but melting on the Jamestown Reservoir last Saturday. It held up well, we walked about a half mile on it.

I found 9 inches on both Jamestown and Ashtabula where I was fishing. But it doesn't mean it was that everywhere always use caution.

Thanks for the updates. Near Detroit Lakes I am finding on average 9 inches on the smaller lakes.
