Did the Area numbers changes this year as last year was my first year hunting turkeys in St. Cloud area and it was 415 nows it's 215?? I also applied for the first season vs. last year I hunted the very last- looks like I need a little luck to get drawn for the first season as the majority of hunters pick the first 3 seasons- Good luck to all!!

In the zones that I hunt,I usually look at the least applied for as that will be my best chance. I know the birds will be less and a little more call shy,but at least I usually get to go.

Its all in what you are looking for.As far as the zone change,I have no information on if or why.

I think the zones are based on the same zones as deer hunting. I think they made a couple portions of zone 4 into zone 2 for deer and hence the change for turkey hunting. I think this is the reason for the change.

Yes,they use the same zones as deer.

I also hunt the st cloud area and it is now zone 215. I usually hunt the second to last weekend and am 3 for 4 so I have had so good success!
