There was a guy I used to work with who swore by a gunsmith shop that's in your area, but I can't for the life of me remember the shop's name, or the town it was in.

Anyway yes the gunsmith is Ahlmans, they will get you what you need.

No worries, Valv. I know the feeling. Take a day or two away and it seems like you miss everything.

Looks lik eAhlman's can do the work. I just have to decide now whether or not I want to spend the money on an 80 year old rifle, or if it's time to retire it nd buy something much newer.

Depending on what you are looking for I bought a Savage combo last year and cannot be any happier, very good price also.
