Applying for a Turkey Permit

You can go to the DNR webpage and see a copy of the application. Its more of a worksheet really. There are a few questions you will need to have the answers to like what zone (permit area) you're hunting and what time frame (A-H). You can also pick a backup permit choice. They have maps of all the permit areas and the calander to see the time frames.

Just click on hunting and turkey. The rest os right there. You can also see harvest statistics and areas that are constant producers. Check out Jnelson's post about strategies for picking a permit.

I've hunted spring turkey only twice. I saw turkeys last year for the first time and hopefully this year I will get to shoot one. Its great fun and you can learn a lot. Buy a video or a call with a video and see what you can learn and what you're missing out on. Its awesome.
