Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet December 2

The Heartland Buglers Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is coming up soon. The banquet will be at Thumper Pond in Ottertail on December 2. The doors open at 5 pm, and a prime rib and chicken buffet dinner will be served at 7pm.

Since Minnesota is officially recognized as an elk state with two viable wild herds, 30 percent of funds raised will remain in state to work Minnesota projects.

There will be at least 22 guns given away at this function. Some merchandise is still coming in and has not been listed here.

There is Browning A Bolt in 270 WSM as a door prize, and the following firearms will go in various games and raffles: Special Edition RMEF Browning Safari BAR in 270 Win; Remington 700XCR in 300 RUM (The winner of this will get a chance at a New Mexico Elk Hunt); Browning A-Bolt in 325 WSM, Savage 110 package in 30-06; Ruger M77 Stainless laminate in 270 WSM; Thompson Center Omega 50 Caliber Muzzle Loader package; Henry Golden Boy 22 lever; Browning A- Bolt in 25 WSSM; Browning Silver Hunter 12 gauge; Ruger M77R in 300 WSM; Browning A Bolt 300 WSM;

There will be a 80 item general raffle, and will contain the following firearms: Winchester Model 70 in 30-06; Stevens .17 HMR, CVA 50 caliber muzzle loader; Benelli Nova 12 gauge; Henry .22 lever; Knight Big Horn 50 caliber muzzle loader; Remington 700 in 270 Winchester; Remington 700 in 7mm mag with scope; Henry 22 Lever; Savage 64 in .22

There will be a silent and live auction and some quickie raffles during the course of the evening.
