Just finished winterizing this engine, fogged, engine oil change, lower end unit oil changed. For some unknown reason the engine will not let me turn it over, the engine does not give an inch when I try to pull her over. it's in Neutral, Plugs in or out, same result, I don't want to force it. Any ideas?, I'd like to circulate the oil a little bit in the crankcase.

Maybe your pull recoil malfunctioned? Nuetrel sensing switch problem? Have you tried to start using the emergency start procedure? Probably not much help, but thought I'd throw it out to ya. How has this motor started for you in the past? Just curious, as I just bought one and won't be able to start till spring. Hope you solve your prob. Junky....

The engine started easily and ran great just a couple hours prior to experiencing this problem. I have a feeling it's electrical.

Check the shift linkage and be 100% sure it's in neutral, Yamaha pull start has a mechanical stop on flywheel to avoid accidental in-gear startups.
