Coach1310
2 years ago I bought a 16' Alumacraft from a friend of my Dad's. He purchased a cabin and the boat was part of the deal. Here is the thing. The boat was hardly ever used and inside is in mint condition, however the boat was left tied to the dock each summer with no bumpers, etc. How much does it cost to get a boat repainted? Where can I have this done? I got a great deal on the boat and with a new paint job I would be set for many years! Any help would be great. Eastwind
I've had a repair and painting done at George's Repair in East Bethel. I was happy with their work.

Eastwind
Just call a boat repair shop, describe the boat, ask them to give you a ballpark price over the phone, add 20% and you'll be close.

mnfishman
A friend of mine had his Crestliner repainted at the local auto body shop. It looks brand new and he ordered the new decals so it looks like a 2005 Crestliner. He had it painted at Autoworks Body and Paint in Starbuck, MN
lotsofish
I bought an older Lund 16 foot aluminum boat this spring. The paint was all faded and scratched. I didn't think it would be worth the money to have someone repaint an older boat, so I did it myself. I sanded down the old paint, primed it, used the auto spray paint stuff and put a couple coats of clear coat on top of that. Looks great. After at least 50 trips this year, the paint is still holding up fine.
