Nels
I went out to Golden on Christmas day from 11:30 to 2:30. I caught about 20 crappies, most right around 9". Very light biters. I actually caught 1 small catfish (on maggots/ noodle rod) but it got off my hook just under the hole. It was kind of cool, but I really wish I could have held it in my hands. Oh well, Hopefully I'll get out there in another week or so.
Guest
how thick is the ice on golden. Also, do you have any tips for fishing cats thru the ice.

The Chemist
Pikeslayer: go to the St.Cloud forum and look under Horseshoe chain. There is some good fishing there for cats.
DARK30
Welcome Pikeslayer! Fishhead and I had a little luck up on the Horseshoe Chain last week. I'm not real familiar with the area (YET) but it seams the Channels there don't mind the cold much.------------------cast,cast,cast,cast......
