Looking for permission to hunt pheasants in the Britton area

Hi,

My wife and I will be in the Britton area in late November on the 27th, 28th and 29th. We would like permission to hunt on land that has pheasants. We are an older couple with good hunting ethics. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

That area of SoDak is chuck full of public walk-in areas that will hold birds. Waterfowl Production Areas might be another good option to look at. The birds will start moving back into the public lands as there's not as much pressure in late Nov.

Road hunting is another option. Private land for pheasants is usually tough to come by in SoDak, but it is possible. You might even try to ask permission of a few farmers in the area.
