NCAA Rankings

I don’t get these NCAA rankings sometimes. Maine gets thumped 8-2 on Saturday and they stay #1... The Gophers tie two and stay at #2… St. Cloud ties two games against the #2 team in the nation and they drop a spot! I don’t get it.

I saw that and the only issue I have is SCSU not being ranked higher! They totally go on reputation and W/L record. SCSU will be a top ten team at the end of the year if they keep playing like they did this past weekend.

My running thoery and it's been pretty bulletproof, is that the coaches that vote like East Coast teams. Imagine that. I thought they lost their mind last year when they finally voted 'Sconi number 1. But I think they like cheeseheads better than gophers. Those east coasters don't like gophers, because they know they rule.

I think if SCSU did better on the powerplay and had more offense going before last weekends series, they would have been ranked higher this week.

NCAA rankings on espn.com have Minnesota at #1 now. Let's see if it lasts through the weekend.

How could it last, I mean they are playing the greatest team ever assembled in Wisconsin... thats a sure Wisconsin sweep, don't you think?
