just bought a aqua vu xl

Well I got one the aqua vu xl and use it once and love it, all I need now is the dvr recorder, what do you guys think of this set up

My buddy just got the DVR and hooked it to his DT and the closer the camera is to the unit the more shaky it gets. Aqua-Vu said it was because of new and old technologies. I hooked it to my XL, and everthing syncs up good with no shaking. Does anyone else notice the shaking? Oh, this is the second one he got, the first one shook so bad when recording that you couldn't see the screen, because he got it delivered from Spee-Dee and they had run it over with one of their trucks. I've never read anyone else having that problem with the new bigger monitors.

I have the exact set up you have.. and I have the hand held DVR... love it!.. learn something new about hte waters I fish almost every time I take it out!

I also use it more in the summer time than I do the winter!

I just got one and I have the same problem. Its not real bad but I was thinking about contacting them about it. What did they tell youe budy?

When you guys are using the DVR with your Aqua-Vu, make sure your battery is completely charged. The DVR does draw more power, so a weaker battery can cause the screen to appear distorted.

If you guys have any concerns about your DVRs, don't hesitate to contact Nina at Nature Vision: 1-877-427-HSO. They're pretty good about standing behind their products, and if you have a bad unit, they'll usually replace it at no cost.

I did notice that a battery that was just taken off the charger helped but didn't fully correct the problem. I think I will call and have a talk with her thanks I will post what the solution is.

The fully charged battery is not the problem. He has the DT and when the power to the DVR is off, all he gets is a distorted screen. When he turns it on the screen will work if its not too close to the camera itself. I put it on mine and had no problems at all with the power on or off, or while playing recorded video from another unit.

Oh, he sent back the first one because Spee-dee must have run it over, the way the package was smashed and opened. I wish Reeds and Sportsmans Guide would use differant carriers, they always cause problems around here with their deliveries.
