Irvingdog, As I understand the law, If you are using it as a shelter while fishing, the answer is YES you need a tag. If on the other hand, you're using it as, say a "skating warming house" then NO, a shelter tag is not required. Keep in mind though, Even if you're not fishing directly beneath the shelter (only using it as a warm place while you watch tip-ups on the ice) then you ARE still using it as a "fishing shelter". I would think if you are using it only for your wheeler you would not need to licence it?.. But if you used it for yourself.. you would.

But again, only a guess. I would call or e-mail the DNR. I have e-mailed them before and they get back to you in a few days...
