The weather is cold, some of the lakes have a little skim of ice, all my gear is ready, and I have nothing to do to pass the time. Good thing deer hunting is this weekend or I wouldn't make it.

I'm the same way. Don't know how many times I can read the new ice guide or look at the tackle box. better freeze soon.

I'm quilty of having the bug too....Working on outfitting the portable with organization so i can maximize my ice time. My buddies came over and saw the portable set up in the garage, next to the heater, right by the gel pack batteries charging....they all think I'v lost it. Hopefully only a few more weeks till good SAFE ice...Good luck preping for the season guys.

Tonight will be our third straight night with temps in single digits (northcentral Wyoming).

Geese were standing on the pond this a.m. . . .I may scout a bit tomorrow (for smaller water with safe ice).

I started dancing around our kitchen the other morning when the first sign of ice hit our neighborhood pond. My wife is ready to check me into a mental hospital.
