Sarge
Hmmmm, blood baits, stinky cheese, soured chicken livers, fermented cut bait, not sure how spam fits into this group, but I'm not sure I'll be eating it any more.
CANOPY SAM
Yeah I read that article too.. Makes ya' kinda' wonder why we bother with all those "fresh" chunks a meat we've been tossin' at em'. Little hard to believe, but heh, stranger things have happened.
Guest
SPAM-SPAM-SPAM & SPAM.Spam cubes are common bait on many lakes and rivers in the South and Midwest. They take a fine wire and cut the Spam slab into chunks and slip them onto a # 6 treble hook, common fair on Southerner’s trot lines. Typically Spam is not a big cat bait although the 116lbs 12oz ARK-O-SUMO-PIGGY blue was "reportedly" caught on spam. (Odds are it was caught on Shad guts or shad cuts.) Southern caters are notorious for keeping there bait of choice top secret. If they DO tell ya, you very likely be their next bait of choice! ------------------Backwater Eddy.......><,sUMo,> Backwater GuidingEd Carlson(701)-281-2300 http://home.talkcity.com/ResortRd/backwtr1/index.html
