lawman
A group of us are considering going to Birchdale Lodge on Eagle Lake in either June or Sept. of 2007. Looking for feedback on the lake, resort and time of year. thanks for any info.
onemore
My brother and his father-in-law have fished Eagle quite a bit and have had great success. They stay at a reasonably priced resort and catch walley, northern, small mouth and musky. I don't know the specifics but I think they only pay about $500 a piece for the trip including boat rental. June would be my recommendation if you want hot walleye action. Good luck.
cupper
Do you remember the name of that lodge by chance?
mrmanners
If your talking about the eagle by vermilion bay then Temple bay lodge is a great one. My wife and I have taken that trip three years running but decided to try a different lake this year. The service was great and we took the coach deal where they drive you up from MN in a coach bus and have a guide for two days. It was about $800 a person. I caught my first muskie and my wife now has a 44" northern on the wall.
bucketmouth64
My son and I will be staying at Temple Bay in June. This will be our first Canadian fishing trip for 4 days/nights. I took advantage of the coach bus ride to save on gas. All inclusive trip for $749.00. This price has since gone up close to $800.00 per person. Includes bus, lodging, meals, 2 days guided fishing, fish cleaning, boat. Canadian fishing license is an extra $40.00/person.
mrmanners
Say Hi to Bob and Peg from the manners, My wifes northern is on the enter page of the HSOforum. You will have a great time they really do run a great resort. If they allow you to select a guide ask for Larry, he got me on a huge muskie last year that broke my 65lb power pro line. He figured it was about 54" to 55"
