Non-Resident Deer Hunter Question

I picked up my License and will be hunting in MN. What does my $136.00 entitle me to take. Is it either a Doe or Buck or both.

I am from ND and will be hunting in MN around where I grew up.

Any info would be appreciated.

It depends on your zone. I believe that if you are hunting in northern Minnesota it will allow you to take either a buck or a doe.

I believe 2A is my zone if I'm not mistaken.

Most likely a deer of either sex. Where are you hunting? Zone 2 is pretty big.

You also need to know your permit area.

Area 203 is the only one in the 2A Zone that has lotery doe permits. All the others are either managed or intensive harvest. Then you can take a doe or a buck. For an extra $67.50 you can get a bonus tag and tag another doe.

Thanks for all replies. I will be hunting around Ada and Twin Valley MN just northeast of Fargo about 1 hour. Sounds like I can get either a doe or a buck then.
