Waubay

I fished waubay last Friday. Three of us caught our 6 walleye, but we had to work for them. It was the type of day where you battle the wind in all the warm clothing you have. I was in my warm gamehide gear with a winter cap, neck/face gater, and gloves. ( I hate giving up the feel of bare hands until I have to, but wow was it cold on the water). There were a few other boats out, but the reports I heard from everyone else was that it was slow with no fish. Anyone else have any reports from the area? Any perch hitting at waubay? Walleye anywhere else? No specifics, just curious if anyone else has been out fishing this fall.

I heard through the grapevine that you caught most the fish.

What was the secret? What colors were best? Jig/minnow I'm guessing... Did you try anything else?

I did have the lucky rod that day. Most of my fish came on a green jig tipped with a minnow.

I should also mention we caught all of our fish in the 12-15 foot depth.
