A small range

My female lab hunts in about a 20 yard circle radius while pheasant hunting. I would like her to expand a little more, but I think it's related to her home activity. I live in town, and I let her outside when I'm out, but if she strays to the neighbors, I call her back. Could this be what's happening in the field also? Any ways to let her branch out a little more?

Don't complain,I once had a Brittany that all you got to see was her back side go'n over the horizon & birds get'n up look'n like dots!

Totally agree! Both my GSP's are pretty far ranging dogs. Sometimes they get way far ahead and all you see are birds flushing all over.

On the other hand you could have my Lab who goes about 100 yards, tires out, then walks right on my heels the rest of the day.
