Fixing Stands? State Land?

Just wondering if I can get some help as to the exact rules about permanent stands on state land. Our group has a couple of stands that were built many years ago and we were wondering the rules about fixing them up. Is it legal to fix them up? Most of the repair wouldn't even entail nailing to the tree, just nailing to the wood already nailed to the tree. Any help would be great.

Thanks!!

It is fine however any stand or blind on public land becomes public property by law...most guys dont take others stands but if it happens by law u cant do anythign about it. Ive known guys who got in trouble wiht the co for hunter harrasment when they kick another guy out of "their" stand

Thanks for the info guys. I found a great new spot and wanted to build a stand as well as fix up a couple more. Just wanted to make sure that was okay. Wouldn't that be something, two guys who don't know each other in the same stand? grin.gif
