Seems like everywhere I went, critters were eating today. First day after the big blow and storm, and everyone was getting a belly full.

Except for the robin, which was shot in Ely, all the rest were shot along the Secret Lake/Blackstone Trail system about 15 miles up the Fernberg from Ely.

I like the chipmunk and the robin best.

All excellent shots Steve, but I think the chipmunk with his nose buried in the berries and the robin are outstanding.

Thanks guys. That chippie, it was sure tough. You see its hand on the stalk of the sumac. It would jump up to the top of the plant, let his weight bear the branch down to the ground, pin it there and munch the berries.

Kind of like stfcatfish jumping over the bar to pin down the bartender and grab that mug of cold beer.
