hey guys with the ice fishing season coming fast i was thinking about how im gonna haul my atv since we usually have to pull our fish house out on the lake with the 4-wheeler since there usually isnt enough ice to drive the truck,so i did some checking on trailers and found one in the $150 price range but then got to thinking that it probably wouldnt be worth it cuz then i would have to make two trips to the lake 1 to pull the house and the other to pull the wheeler.

i have one of those hard top tonnea covers on my truck and really lilke it when its snowing or raining cuz it really helps protect my gear but i was thinking of taking it off this winter so that i could haul the 4-wheeler in the back of the truck and pull the house so that way i only have to make one trip, but then i lose the protection of the tonneau cover i would really like one of the roll up ones but dont know if i can afford after spending most of my money to remodel the fish house, so what would you guys do leave the cover on and make 2 trips or take it off and haul everything at once?

Are you planning on leaving your fish house on one lake all winter? If you plan on moving your house a lot, and you do decide to keep the Tonneau on, you are going to have to make two trips to the lake, and two trips back from the lake. I would have to imagine that would get old very quick, not to mention all the wasted gas.

I have the Tonneau cover and I love it. But when I make long trips for a few day I take off the cover. Mine is hinged and is somewhat easy to take off. I would just take the top off when you need it and put it back on when your are done. If you take it off often enough, you will want to go to a soft top. But that can wait if money is a concern.

Good Luck!

What size house do you have. I have a buddy that built his house with 2 large doors on the end, and he just drives his four-wheeler in and heads to the lake. When he gets to the lake he pulls out the wheeler and pulls the house out on the lake. Don't know if that is an option for you but can never get enough ideas.
