New look for this years Vex???

Anyone seen the new Vex. Lots of cosmetic changes...anyone hear about the internal upgrades/changes?

I've got the opportunity to see them. A few new changes outside of the new look...

An added zoom feature allowing you to zoom in either the bottom 6 or 12 feet.

There is also a low power mode which cuts the power down in half when using the 20 foot range (can also run the 20 foot range at full power too).

Night mode, which reduces the brightness of the read-out.

Those are the 3 main changes in my opinion... but it's an upgrade from the FL-18.

I do not like...or am just not used to...the graphics on the dial...confusing to me. Young bucks will probably hope right on these.

I am dissapointed that they didn't bump up the power. The Vex HSOforum said both units are still only 400 watts. I am also supprised they kept the zoom to just within a certain range of the bottom. It would have been nice to have it adjustable for lake trout fishing.

Still no LX-3 or 5 and BIG BIG bucks. Vexilar still cant seem to keep up with Marcum. I was a vex guys for many many years but until they come out with something I think is as good or better than the Marcums at as good or better a price Ill keep my Marcums.
