Cheap steel for fish houses

Garelick Steel in Minneapolis has a bunch of surplus steel that's perfect for ice house frames. Most of it is 2X3X1/8" or 11 gauge. They're selling it for $0.38 a pound. At 3.88 lbs a foot, that's almost 1/2 cost vs. $0.75-0.80/lb for full length, non-surplus pieces. They have lengths ranging anywhere from 4' to 17' with a few pieces longer than that.

I went there with the intention of building a 14' frame, but bought enough for a larger frame if I decide to go that route.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there grin.gif
