eyepatrol
Yep, definitely nice to see Burton back in the winner's circle. If there is one guy who I'd like to see finish second behind GORDON, it is Burton. Nice freakin' post-race coverage by TNT again! Cripes, they interview Burton (expected), they interview Kenseth (expected), they interview Johnson (expected), then they go and interview Kurt Bush and Clint Boyer. What the he!!???? Let's not interview Gordon who for the 2nd week in a row finishes 3rd and moves up 2 spots in the points chase from 4th to 2nd and from 50 points out to only 6 points out! Bush and Boyer...that's just dumb! Then they cut it off so that they can show the "acadamy award winning oscar nominated" Kill Bill Vol. 1 movie. Great priority there TNT! The most popular and rapidly growing sport in the nation and you interview Bush and Boyer then you end the show. Real smart thinking there. Ugh I hate that station! Can't wait until next year!!! lawdog
I agree with how sucky that was except it was Edwards and Busch, not Boyer...Interviewed 1, 2 4 and 10 and also 13 or 14th or wherever Johnson finished. VERY STRANGE. Why not Gordon like you mentioned, but also, what about Biffle he was fifth. And Bobby Labonte was 7th, THAT'S a story! They stink! eyepatrol
Oh yeah, that's right it was Edwards. They should be interviewing the top 5, then if anyone "unusual" that makes the top 10 and also all 10 of the chase contenders.Very poor coverage. If I remember, they didn't even show who finished 1st - 10th as they came to the line at the end of the race. They only showed like 1st and 2nd. Sifty
I would say behind the 31 winning that the 43 was the story.Always like Bobby and thought he was a good interview. It may have been the rain that kept some of the other guy's in there trailers.Sifty
LMITOUT
The rain probably made everyone run for cover before any interviews were given immediately after the race. Sounded like thunder in the background too, so I'm sure they didn't have much confidence sticking their antennas up in the air just to get the same old story we've heard for 27 weeks already for the sake of getting zapped.....good race, team was great, thanks to sponsor x,y, and z. blah blah blah....I do have an issue with NBC/TNT's post race coverage as a whole though as they usually don't do a very good job. Fox can do that too sometimes. They only way to get a good race recap is to watch the SPEED show later on.
OUTDOORNUT
Very cool to see Jeff back in the Winners Circle! I think TNT was trying to squeeze in the normal Top 5, plus the Chase drivers. In doing that, they had to leave out someone. The show on SPEED with Kenny and Jimmy was funny as heck, they were getting blasted with rain and wind! eyepatrol
Not sure if the replay that show at all (NASCAR Victory Lane)? Would have liked to see it yesterday, but got busy making dinner for the family. Usually I catch it, but wasn't able to last night.
