Winterizing the trailer

We bought park model trailer this Summer and are approaching our first winter with it. What is the typical way people close these down for the winter? Blow out the pipes and add antifreeze? Not real sure

It's not too difficult.

Drain the fresh water tank, open your low-point drains and all taps. If your trailer is fairly new, a blow-out may not be necessary.

Drain the hot water heater. Hopefully you'll have a line bypass at the water heater. You don't want to run antifreeze into the water heater.

Don't forget the outside shower if you have that feature.

Make sure your waste tanks are cleaned and drained.

Pour three to four gallons of RV antifreeze into the freshwater tank. Run the taps, starting at the farthest from the pump until you get antifreeze. Let at least a pint run into the drain traps plus a little extra to go into the tanks.

Clean inside and outside as needed. Remove food to discourage rodents.

Put new baking soda boxes in fridge and freezer.
