vizsla01
I grew up in Ne Iowa and was wondering if anyone still heads back for the Pheasant season?
picksbigwagon
Where abouts? I am from Waukon originally.... we head down around Cascade for a weekend hunt. More getting together than shooting birds. There are years we wonder why we even bring the shotguns. Have thought about heading down around Mason City / Clear Lake area for day hunt, but two kids under 6 makes a day trip a little difficult. Interested in where you're from and where you are thinking about heading....I have thought about chasing grouse on the ridges along the upper Iowa, but those are some seriously scarey ridges to think about scrambling up with a gun
vizsla01
Picks., I'm from New Hampton. Grew up there. My dad has a bunch of decent hunting land. I try to get down there often during the pheasant season. My kids are in the same age range also. So I try to make it a weekend if I can.
LABS4ME
Haven't been for at least 8-10 years now... We really used to stomp down the Sumner Tripoli area pretty hard! Not sure what it's like down there any more... may have to buy a license and try it again. It is easily a day trip from the twin sillies.Good luck!Ken
