Chicago with it's huge payroll will go down as a big disappointment in 2006 by not getting back to where all the so-called experts expected them to be... in the playoffs and World Series.... they could still turn it around, but time is running out on Windy's boys of summer.

Just proves that last year was a fluke. The sox always fade come august and sept...its just the make up of who they are. They almost blew it last year but played well enough (and other teams in div, poor enough) to make it into the playoffs on fumes. Their dreams usually come to a crashing end with a series in Minnesota too bad it doesnt look like those games will mean much for them at this point.

Hey Buzz, remember what you said yesterday? Well, the WSox got the 1 out of the way now but I don't think they're gonna get the 12.

Very nice story there Sled.

Mr. MOJO rising..........

Anyways, I'm watching the game last night and they show the pics of the 3-4-5 (Dye, Thome, Konerko) so I know nothings gonna go wrong that inning, then later I see that Podsednik is pinch-hitting and I'm like, who the he** is HE pinch-hitting for? I know I AIN'T IN THERE so that poor guy must be a real bum!

Windy, you shoveling any dirt yet?

Geez, wonder if we'll ever hear from Windy again...he's gotta hope the WSox win at least one of their last 12.......AFTER the WCard is clinched I hope of course.

I'm a thinkin' that the people of Chicago are going to hop on the Bears bandwagon and hope they can salvage the end of summer/fall season for them as their White Sox are faltering big time. I could be wrong, but I suspect you'll stop hearing White Sox banter and it will turn to Bears this and Bears that.... I've been wrong before, we'll seeeeeeeeeee. grin.gif

Buzz,

Like I have said before, "Any port in a storm"! I did my duty and paid my respects to my beloved at the funeral last night. I would bet my last dollar that you will not see Mr. Buehrle wearing the black and silver next year. I think he has already been fitted for two red birdies on the front of his jersey. But to put a positive "Windy" spin on the game, at least I saw the Sox pull off a triple play and Thome did get his 40th tater. So to validate what my running mate and "brother from another mother" said....BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS! Windy

This really shouldn't come as a surprise to most WhiteSox fans that were actually following the team before they won their first WS in 80 years.

They have consistently collapsed towards the end of the season, with last year being an abberation.

The three straight div. titles that the Twins won were supposed to be won by the Sox. "ON PAPER", they were supposed to be better, but when you played the games, they weren't.

Hopefully the Tig's can falter enough for the Twins to win the div. and continue the dominance they have shown since the 2002 season, minus 2005 when the Sox fluked out and won it all.

PS - The Bears aren't that great either. grin.gif Although they are probably better than the Vikes.

Windy, you did your boys proud and stood in here tall one against all and held your own. Even your final thoughts show a true WSox love so I give you a big "Attaboy Windy" - spinning it like we know you can. Remember who their other TriplePlay this yr was against?

Listen, it's not so bad to be out of it. I still root for my Cubbies and they got 3 chances EVERY year to make the playoffs: slim, fat, and none!

Well guys....I leave it to group concsious (sp?):

Do I root FOR the WSox tonight?
